Life With Lilly

OK, we have NO excuse for our lack of diary entries, but hopefully we can get back on the ball. I've changed the Photo Gallery section for easier use, and I think quite a few more pix will be added this week.

I thought it was high time that mommy added some info to Lilly's world. Knock on wood, Lilly's colic seems to be getting better and is on the decline. Although Rob has night duty, so he may disagree.

At Lilly's (great-) Aunt Sooz's suggestion, daddy has added a live statistics panel to keep an eye on the little one. After a few more freelance jobs, maybe I'll add a GPS tracker and a wireless webcam too ;-)

Newly-posted photos are now in the Picture Gallery > Delivery Room section. Go take a look. Don't worry... despite the title, they're non-gross.

Well, we seem to have gotten over the cold finally. Guess Lilly's immune system is pretty tough -- that's what breastfeeding's known for -- and she recovered quicker than mom and dad. So if we could only fix that staying up all night thing...

Looks like the little one has a cold. Actually the whole household has a cold now, but Beth is getting over hers. Lilly gets really angry when we suction out her nose, but it's necessary otherwise she snores and rasps.

I think Colic should be on George Carlin's list of seven deadly words. Let me tell you right now that this is the most gut-wrenching frustration a new parent could suffer. I think we're approaching the peak of fussiness, according to some resources I've found online.

But we'll see. Poor Lilly likes to stay up all night and be extremely unhappy, simultaneously fussing for more food while being gassy and uncomfortable from what's already in her tummy.

There should be more support groups for this.
